Junior Referee Program
JUNIOR REFEREE PROGRAM - AGES 11-12
This program is for 11-12 year olds interested in trying out officiating for our recreational program. It is designed for aspiring referees to build a foundation of basic referee mechanics and preparing them to enter the certified referee program when they turn 13.

Requirements: All Junior Referees must register through our club and meet the training requirements of the program administered by The Referee Advocates in order to work games. Registration begins in late Fall/Early Winter and spots fill up quickly!
Commitment:

Register with our club and pay the registration fee. Your registration includes a Junior Referee Kit for game day, a referee guidebook, and a spot on the referee team.

Participate in two 1.5 hour in-person training sessions (February-April) and one 1.5 hour practice session (March-April).

Work at least 5 recreational games for our club during the season.

Consider becoming USSF certified when you turn 13 years old.
COMPETITIVE REFEREE PROGRAM - AGES 13+ TO ADULT
This program is for ages 13 years and up and is administered by our Head Assignor Daneen Goncalves and The Referee Advocates team. Referees in this program will work our competitive league home games during the spring/summer and fall seasons.

Requirements:

Obtain your USSF license. Current 2024 new referee certification requirements are found here.

Register an account on Assignr, our game assigning platform. Directions on how to do that can be found here.
Commitment:

Contact TRA to determine the best route to join the program.
Participate in two 1.5 hour in-person training sessions (February-April) and one 1.5 hour practice session (March-April).

Maintain annual USSF license ($60 plus online videos). First time referees also need to attend a 5-hour in person course to complete certification.

​Work at least 10 games for our club. You may be eligible for certification reimbursement.
